One thing that particularly appalled me was the matter-of-fact way in which these barbarians went about their chore. This wasn't an enraged mob-- these tools were about as emotional as a group waiting at a bus stop. Off to go desecrate a cemetery for infidels-- ho hum, just another day at the office. Honey, should I pick up anything on the way home?
And not a peep from the mainstream media! They show the Afghans, as well as Moslems elsewhere, getting their underwear in a knot because of a few burnt Korans, and everyone gets all hyper about that. But when it comes to desecrating a cemetery where true heroes are buried, it's crickets chirping in the night. Where is OUR ANGER? OUR OUTRAGE?
Barb, I agree. It's amazing that these outrages are ignored in our press. I'm not sure if it's because the truth does not fit the "religion of peace" meme that is the stance of the left in this country, or if the supposedly fearless and independent press here is terrified of what Muslims might do to them if they published the truth. It's probably a mix of both.
Where is the anger and outrage of Muslims that aren't barbarous, violent bigots? Why haven't they taken to the streets and the airwaves and the internet and their mosques to denounce this sort of outrage? Why aren't these men exposed as the crazy fringe element in the Muslim world? Could it be because they aren't the crazy fringe but the mainstream, and those Muslims that aren't barbarous, violent bigots (and their fellow-travelers) are actually the minority? Has any mullah disowned these animals? Are their families ashamed of them? In their society, is there any stigma attached to their behavior? Would they be shunned or lionized in mainstream Muslim circles?
It wasnt ignored in the Australian Press as many of the desecrated graves were Australian. They were the graves of alied soldiers defending Lybia against the NAZSI's.
Disgusting.

Where was this taken/where was(is)this cemetery?
ReplyDeleteThank Hilary Clinton and Obama for putting the rebels in control in Libya.
