The antinomy of pro-abortion Catholic politicians is new and this man led the charge. He is the Catholic who brought abortion to Canada in 1969, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. He has been called the Ted Kennedy of Canada. Actually, two Catholic politicians brought abortion to Canada, Pierre Trudeau and John Turner. The passing of the Trudeau-Turner bill proved the darkest moment in Canadian history.
Every time I hear the word 'abortion', I think of the Apocalypse of St. Peter and his vision of people in the next life who had abortion in this life: "There sat women having the gore up to their necks, and over against them sat many children who were born to them out of due time, crying; and there came forth from them sparks of fire and smote the women in the eyes: and these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion." I don't see how politicians who push abortion can escape the horrible punishment.
ReplyDeleteGiven the general state of ignorance of the discipline of fetology at the time - 1969 - I can indeed almost exonerate the lawmakers of the time. Today, on the other hand, is a different story.
