The Italian Dominican

Today, nearly an endangered species.

They used to be huge in places like Turin, Florence and Rome and the port cities such as Ancona, Civitavecchia and Naples.

They were teachers and students and preachers.

Some of the finest men I have ever met are Dominican friars.

Pope St. Pius V, an Italian, was the third Dominican pope.  St. Pius V, pray for us!
