Read Fun Theology: Early Christian Writings (from Penguin Classics)

It is not true that theology is "dry" or "boring," when you read this book.

In fact, this book is great even for high school or junior high kids.

Buy it, read it, love it and it will change your life forever - know first and second century Christianity!

  1. A great little book, one of the first ones I acquired for my (very modernist) theology degree. Everything in it is very clearly Catholic. Look at the end of Diognetus -- "Trust is placed in a Virgin." A little-known Marian reference, I think, from the second century.

Are there any good second-hand bookshops in Rome selling books in English?

    Thanks!

  2. Just explore Eastern Christianity, like the Byzantine Catholic/Orthodox, and Oriental Catholic/Orthodox Churches and you will learn all about Early Christianity.
