Camping in the Fields of Rome

I took this photo near Ostia.  Kids camping where the Roman legions of old camped.  A beautiful sight to behold.  

Brings back lots of childhood memories.  Camping with canvas prospector tents and enamelware and cast iron cookware. 

A fine activity for youth and adults alike.
