Paintings of Old Spanish and Cuban Missioners and Bishops

Franciscan missionary bishops.

Seen inside the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, the main city of Havana museum, where every tourist visits.

  1. Those bishops must have been Franciscans because at the time, prelates belonging to religious orders wore the color of their habits rather than prelatial purple or cardinals' scarlet. Franciscans wore grey.
