I wonder what has happened later to this magnificent chapel.
I've had the book This Is The Mass all my life but I always thought this was a mocked up altar for the photo shoot it doesn't look right it has a twentieth century fox set look also how else can there be pictures of the archbishop as he faces the cross ?
Karsh of Ottawa took the pics. You can see the first one was staged. But this was his private chapel as he explains in the intro to the book.
Perhaps the chapel at Propaganda Fide office in NYC? Likely wreckovated by Sheen's successor (Msgr. Edward Thomas O'Meara).
I believe the altar boy is his nephew. His niece(the boys mother)is still alive. I was able to see the display of Bp Sheen's belongings a year ago at St Agnes' in Manhattan.
Good old Saint Agnes. I attended St. Agnes Boy's High School on East 44th Street and remember the old St. Agnes church before it was destroyed by a fire.
