  1. Nunquam abrogatum, strictly speaking: Ut sive sollicite only pertains to prelates' dress.

  2. Long-established practice considered as custom.

  3. Quite surprised by the amateur-like look of the sewing. The angles don't match. Gammarelli, quo vadis?

  4. A symbolic sign and external mark of the Priesthood. Wish we saw more of them.

  6. Spanish speaker: you say that this was worn by black protonotaries, with mantelletta? Why not a simple priest with surplice?

  8. That's interesting. I always assumed simple priests could also use it. Yes, the ICRSP use it, even their non-clerical 'lay oblates' (who also use buckled shoes). Permission? I doubt it.

    Thanks for your reply.

  9. The Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest do not have "lay oblates". They are clerical oblates who also receive minor and major orders.

  10. Wear what you want! So many of our beautiful outward signs and symbols are gone.

  11. Can someone explain to me how fascie are tied or secured with ribbons, if they don't use velcro and they don't use hooks? Pictures would be nice.
