These are the notoriously orange plastic chairs at St. Mary Major (there are hundreds of them).
Art historians and others of taste have complained for years and asked for a change of color (and workmanship).
Would be nice to get some grey or black ones. Or better yet, to invest a bit and get some fitting wood ones.
I knew a priest once who wanted to get some "nice stacking chairs" for his church.

ReplyDeleteAnd all the other (accurate) rude comments are quite apart from the damage that they're doing to that wonderful floor, of course !
ReplyDeleteAt least the Institute of Christ the King celebrate EF Mass on Sundays there to make up for the ugly chairs.
