Rome Wine

Red Castelli Romani.

Just gorgeous.

So many memories, after a fabulous Roman dinner, making my way back to Roman Termini to get out of town and head for the sea.

Always with Roman house wine, red or white.  Both can be taken slightly chilled.  Yours truly often adds ice.

The red Castelli is produced from the Sangiovese and Merlot grapes.  The white is produced from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes.

From the fertile hillsides of ancient Rome, the Castelli Romani, we get this great red wine.  It is a medium-bodied dry red wine.  Great with grilled meats, tomato-based pasta dishes and even pizza.

Enjoy!

  1. With pecorino romano, a perfect salty Roman cheese for wine drinking.
