Ribbon Bow of the Rochet

Seen on Bishop J.J. Byrne, S.T.D., (d. 1996), auxiliary bishop of St. Paul; his brother was the mayor of the City of Saint Paul. He was the first native of Minnesota named Archbishop.

    The red ribbon, also found on the surplice and rochet is, is "usually" a sign of previous attendance of a diocesan Minor Seminary.
