1060s Liturgical Art = Epic Fail

I saw this in a Catholic church with orange carpet and could not resist.  Reparation had to be made.  A litany was prayed.

This species of bad taste (going back DECADES) is unacceptable.  Some of us have strong feelings about these things because young people are being turned away from church by oddities like this.

  1. There are still worse "modern" crucifixes.

    For example this one in the University Chapel in Freiburg/Breisgau, Germany, seat of the Archdiocese Freiburg. Perhaps made in the 80ies, it still exists today, nothing was ever changed.

    Just creepy. I call it still the "Babadook crucifix"
