This vesture is coming back slowly. Encourage your bishop or Protonotaries to wear it...or purchase it as a gift and present it. This was never set aside. But, the mantelleta was but I see its creeping back into use on people's own initiative. I would like it resorted to Prelates of Honour and Protonotaries along with the rochet.
The above ferraiolo and mantelleta can be found in numerous church goods catalogues or from several clerical clothiers such as Toomey. Many bishops are turning a blind eye to the mantelleta as well as the rochet. I work out of the Nucinature, and since being named a PA use these; the mantelleta isn't used but a few times a year.

The penury of the modern world has need of this beauty.
