Have the kids put their shoes out tonight before they go to bed.
Dad always had us place ours at the bottom of the stairs next to the piano.
In the morning, St. Nicholas had placed candies in them.
We were thrilled!
Dads, keep this tradition going.
Ἅγιος Νικόλαος, ora pro nobis!
Great blog, Johann von Sonnen. ;-)ReplyDelete
BTW, Sancte Nicholae, ora pro nobis, or in Greek: Ἅγιε Νικὀλαε, προσεῦχε ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν.
Just in case the Greek did not come across: Hagie Nikolae, proseukhe hyper hêmôn.
Congratulations to you and your beautiful Frau von Sonnen on the birth of your adorable daughter. You are a man of true faith and an inspiration to many. I wish you and your wonderful family a long life of happiness in the arms of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And may your grandchildren be inspired to continue this blog!
Thanks for the reminder!!ReplyDelete
Happy St. Nicholas Day, John!ReplyDelete
I know you don't usually comment on yourself in the combox, but have you and your fine family moved back to Italy? Looks like it from the blog...just wondering!
