Every Saturday Cardinal Pacelli went to Confession to a revered Italian Jesuit by the name of Fr. Agostino Garagnani, SJ (1881-1944). Fr. Garagnani was an intellectual and a professor of philosophy at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He lived at Sant'Andrea al Quirinale where Cardinal Pacelli would confess. The kneeler is still there to this day, in the upper chapel.
