Rome Quotes

"We shall almost certainly have to reckon with Islam in the near future.  Perhaps if we lose our Faith it will rise."

-Hilaire Belloc (writing in 1929)

A Word About Keeping False Gods Out of Your House and Off Your Property

According to St. Paul, these are evil spirits.

Keep them far from your home, kids, families and garden.

Back in the day people would put a statue of St. Francis in their backyard.  Or a statue of the Madonna in the front yard.  Today, times have changed.  You no longer see such statues anywhere.

Sanat Kumara, Pan, Venus, Shiva, Buddha and other pagan deities.  False idols.  For sale everywhere.  The name Buddha itself literally means "Lightbearer" - the same meaning as the name Lucifer.

The Apostle Paul, dealing with the same garbage in his day, noted the demonic nature of these idols - a warning that sincere New Agers and Christian sympathizers of the New Age Movement would do well to heed:

"What do I mean then?  That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?  No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons.  You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons."

-1 Corinthians 10: 14-22

American Nun, Now 93, Meets Venerable Pius XII in 1957

Sr. Margherita Marchione, PhD.

She showed me this picture and said it was a "great" moment to meet the "saintly" Pontiff.  With her is the Pope's nice.  Pictured in St. Peter's Basilica.

Sr. Margherita received her M.A. and Doctorate from Columbia University in NYC.

The Beautiful Handwriting of Nuns

Penmanship was always taught and taught well by the teaching sisters.

Last September yours truly had lunch in a convent and this was in the refectory.

God bless the good sisters for promoting nice handwriting.
