In Memoriam: Titanic Liverpool

In holy memory of the three Catholic priests who died on the Titanic 100 years ago.

All three declined a place on ship's life boats, choosing to administer his priestly duties and offering solace to his fellow travelers.

From left to right:

Fr Juozas Montvila, aged 27 (born at Gudine, near Marijampole, Lithuania, on 3 january 1885), ancient vicar in Lipskas for the Uniates.

Fr Josef Peruschitz, O.S.B., aged 41 (born born Benedikt Peruschitz at Stra├člach-Dingharting, district court Wolfratshausen in Bavaria on 21st march 1871), teacher of several disciplines at Scheyern monastery in Bavaria.

Fr Thomas Roussel Davids Byles (born in Yorkshire, England on 26th february 1870), Roman Catholic Rector of Ongar, Essex.

Thanks, Rodolfo!
