What an Incorruptible Looks Like (Tomb of St. Antonine, OP)

With great emotion one of our Dominican professors explained how for years each morning he had the honor to celebrate Low Mass atop this altar while he lived in Florence at this Dominican Priory (one of  two in the City).

The chapel was constructed in 1580.  In the urn you see the body of St. Antonino Pierozzi, Confessor (1389-1459).  He was a Dominican Friar, Prior of the Priory of San Marco (1439) and Archbishop of Florence (1445).

Such an outstanding witness that he remains incorrupt: Gaudet Mater Ecclesia!

N.B. Feel free to put one of these pics on Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incorruptibility.
