This is the crypt chapel underneath the Roman Basilica leading to the Roman Forum where the remains of Sts. Cosmas and Damian are kept entombed inside the altar. To see it just have the porter of the Basilica telephone the rector to ask permission.

Banal "simplicity" reigns it seems alo in that crypt. Are there no appropriate altar candlesticks in the whole church? I doubt that in the Eeast they would lay such mingy pillar candles at a site where we venerate our great saints.
