Catholic Youth: Be a Pilgrim Today

Be not afraid.  Take your map.  Go alone or with a group.

Even at home begin to visit holy Catholic places: churches, shrines, cathedrals and basilicas, altars and sanctuaries.  Oratories, convents and places of burial.

Kneel in prayer before every tabernacle.  Know that the relics of the saints are in the consecrated altar stones and altar mensas.

Read The Formation of Christendom by Christopher Dawson (first published in 1965 and republished by Ignatius Press in 2008): http://books.google.com/books/ignatius_press?id=wS78LsGaZpkC&dq=the+formation+of+christendom&cd=1.

Make each day a pilgrimage and see our Blessed Lord.  Read your Bible.  Even begin to attend daily Mass and consider weekly Confession (every Saturday which is the day dedicated to the Madonna is a fine day to make a good Confession).

Do you have any suggestions for finding pilgrimage sites in N. America?
