Where to Study in Rome: Angelicum

The Angelicum is composed of 1,200 students from more than 90 countries.  The teaching staff is also international, including 150 professors from 30 countries.  At the Angelicum one truly experiences the catholicity of the Church.

The Angelicum is located in Rome's historic centre.  It is also noted for its rich history, as its roots are to be found in the medieval Studium of the Dominican Order in Rome, out of which grew the College of St. Thomas, founded in 1580, the direct ancestor of the Angelicum.

In all the faculties there are courses in Italian, while the faculties of theology and philosophy are unique among the Roman ecclesiastical faculties in that they also have complete courses of study exclusively in English.  The University issues canonical degrees of Baccalaureate, License, and Doctorate, to which are also added the Masters and other diplomas of specialisation.
