Pontificio Istituto San Clemente

In short, this is a collegio (residence) for poor lay students in Rome.

They have a funny policy, though, which excludes Americans because they are said to be too "wealthy."  Otherwise, this would be my home.

  1. Nice. Someone ought to explain the $ to € conversion rate to these people. Likewise, there ought to be the explanation of the Liberation of Rome that took place during World War II. Who did that again?

  2. The poor students come from Africa, Asia, Latin America and of East Europe. There is no discrimination on choosing students from abroad but the necessity of choosing those most in need.

  3. Its not a collegio but an international cultural center named "Giovanni XXIII ".
