Capri does touch the soul and speak to the majesty of God and the beauty of his creation. If in Capri you might lose this if you only stay on the land with the mass of daily visitors. So, in Capri do two things. 1. Take a boat ride around the island. Enjoy the colours of the water, the tiny coves and be in awe of the sheer of the cliffs. 2. In Anacapri -- that is up the mountain of Capri go to the hilltop settlement (by bus or taxi) and take the chair lift to the top of the mountain. Breathtaking, stunning and prayerfully silent. Spend time with the Creator. There is a restaurant atop the mount and bathrooms....and the chair lift isn't scary. The chair is never more than 20 feet from the ground as it takes you up the small mountain. As for the famed Blue Grotto.....disappointing as you spend fewer than three minutes inside and it takes over 45 minutes to get there.
