Rome Pius XII Conference
Oct. 29, 2010.
Conference hosted by Comitato Pacelli at Oratorian House in downtown Rome.
In attendance were four cardinals, two bishops and lots of VIPs.
Thanks everybody for bringing this together and making it work!
Augustin Cardinal Bea, S.J.
From 1945 -1958 Fr. Bea was the confessor of Venerable Pius XII, of blessed memory.
Each Saturday he heard the confession of Pius XII along with the 3 sisters who took care of his household.

Mrs. Roberta Ricci: Rome's Mother of 12 Children
Model of Catholic womanhood.
Meet Roberta Ricci, born in 1964.
She is the mother with the most children in Rome and was just recognized as such by the mayor with a special award.
Married in 1982, Roberta had 12 children in 19 years. 5 boys and 7 girls.
Between 1983 - 1987 she had her first 4 children.
In 2001 her most recent baby was born. The youngest is now 8 and the oldest 27.
Each afternoon the kids are taught catechism.

October 24, 2010.
Ordaining prelate was Most Rev. Velasio de Paolis, of the Vatican.
Nine men were ordained deacons, including one American.

Formerly she was entombed inside the custom altar seen in the above photo (pilgrims were able to walk behind it to pray next to the body).
Now, sadly, since the callow '60s she has been entombed in the basement bunker as seen in the lower photo.

Hatred for the Tiara in Rome
The fury of nineteenth century Masonic rage vandalized this papal coat-of-arms circa 1870.
Tiara, keys and image on the crest of Gregory XIII were hacked off.
The revolutionaries took the building and never gave it back.
The property, constructed in the XVI century, had been the center of learing in Rome, the Palazzo Collegio Romano (now a state high school, E.Q. Visconti).
