This is my great uncle whose bravery and charitable efforts were so appreciated in WWI. Named the Patriot Priest of Picardy, he volunteered to assist the soldiers on the front lines. He would comfort and pray with them, say mass, and bury the dead often simply wrapted in blankets and placed in the ground. He also represented the Knights of Malta to the Holy See. If anyone has information, please send it to me for a book I am writing about my special great uncle: pdlipe@gmail.com
