Vatican City on a Saturday Morning

Once after Midnight Mass in 1999 I was standing here in the dark when suddenly Pope John Paul II drove by in his little Mercedes, now kept in the Musei Vaticani.  The light was on in the cab and it was great to wave to him with the others.
