"In the late sixties, many seminaries began to put less emphasis on the doctrinal and spiritual, and more on the sociological and even the political. Not only in this country but throughout the world there began to be a fission between the priesthood and the victimhood of Christ. Sometimes there was an acknowledgment of the priesthood without the victimhood or co-redemption with Christ; on the other hand, victimhood was sometimes interpreted solely in terms of service to the world rather than also bearing the guilt and sin and poverty of the world in the Name of Christ."
