Magnificent! I wish I could have been present. And I hope this becomes a common practice at the Altar of The Chair. Perhaps, His Holiness celebrate ancient Mass in the basilica someday. Although, I realise the pontifical for that celebration involving the pope demands many intracies that may no longer be best practice....if that is the correct phrase. But, a papal mass using the ancient form is a peice of liturgical machinery that is rusty and perhaps not suited to the times. But, the pope can always make his celebration of the TLM what he wants it to be. I hope he does.

Wow!! Great pictures! I'm glad I was able to make it this morning. Do you know why they use two different mitres throughout the Mass?
