How to Say Happy New Year in Latin

"Felix Annus Novus."

  1. I'd rather say: Felicem Annum Novum (tibi exopto).

  2. I take all such questions to the "Morgan Lexicon", whence: Happy New Year annum novum faustum tibi precor! [Front.]; bene vertant anni primordia [Bauer]; novum annum feliciter [opto]. As a loquacious and verbose Latin Catholic, I might say, "faustum felicem salubrem atque sanctum annum inneuntem tibi / vobis ex imo corde precor, Deo omnia bona opitulante.

  3. I prefer Felicem Annum Novum because 4 of the 5 major Romance languages (all but French) & minor ones too all use that so it must have been a very common vernacular
