Mr. Sonnen, is it also bay we see scattered on the floor of San Nicolo in Carcere in your photos posted on 9 April? I've never noticed this done before-- the scent must be lovely.
Years ago I was in Rome and taking a walk in the gardens of the Villa Borghese. I caught the scent of bay and realized that there were entire hedges of it all around me. Nice.
A lovely scent. And even a reminder of the crown of martyrdom and palm branch of victory.

Yes, this photo was taken at S. Nicola. These might even be bay leaves. I was not exactly sure.
