Pius XII Saved Jews During WWII

From the Trappist monastery of Tre Fontane, Rome.

  1. The Trappist Order has really gone radical liberal and collapsed since Vatican II, numbers wise, vocations wise, and tradition wise.

There are only about 8 aged monks left in this place...once (before Vatican II) a very flourishing cloistered monastery of Trappists.

Every year, on the Feast of Saint Agnes up until the last 5-6 years, Trappist monks used to present the Pope with 2 lambs they raised at this monastery. The wool from the lambs was woven into pallium by cloistered Benedictine nuns.

There are so few Trappists there now, that I think the tradition of the lambs has been taken up by another Order.

The only good Trappist abbey in the world is Mariawald, in Germany...where the Tridentine Latin Mass is used, Gregorian Chant, and monastic disipline and tonsure.
