One is from Minnesota and the other from Wisconsin. The Lord of History called them both to Italy where they joined a French order. One of the sisters I know well as we went to high school together and I can still remember when once upon a time we both went as lay missioners to Vladivostok, Russia. And to the WYD 2002 in Toronto. She is a saint.
Maybe this is your call, too?

The sisters are members of the Sisters Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus, a community of religious sisters canonically established to aid the priests of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, in their mission through prayer and apostolic work. They are not French. Their superior Msgr. Wach has alwasys stressed, 'the Institute is neither French, German, English, Swedish, Italian, American, nor European, African, nor Asian, but Roman Catholic.' That goes for the sisters, too. French is the common language for studying because Msgr. Wach is French and Latin for all the liturgy. Congatulations to the new sisters! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Institute has just recently established a convent for its sisters in the US, at St. Francis de Sales Oratory, St. Louis. Perhaps these two Americans will be going there.
ReplyDeleteIs really Wach a "monsignore"?
ReplyDeleteWhat very beautiful names they have.
