Italian Postal Stamp Commemorates the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem

The Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem is a Roman Catholic order of knighthood under the protection of the pope.  

Pope St. Pius X was the one who ordained that the Order's cape or mantle, as worn by the original knights, be a "white cloak with the cross of Jerusalem in red enamel."
