Here he is, in 1926, on the day of his First Holy Communion.
Standing on the steps of the Cathedral of St. Paul, located on St. Anthony Hill in St. Paul, Minnesota.
He was a student at Cathedral School, a local kid from the neighborhood, who grew up on Selby Ave.
He was an altar server for Archbishop Austin Dowling, second Archbishop of the Diocese of St. Paul.
While at Cretin High School he became a pilot. Served in the Navy during WWII. Lived in Florida.
Went on to marry a Wisconsin girl and had 12 children.
His hobbies include volunteering, flying, chit chat, and tennis.
Please keep vigil for him in prayer. He is nearing the end of his earthly journey.
A fine man. An eyewitness to history. Twice he came to visit me in Rome. We had a splendid time.
Bless him and all the lives he touched.
