Lost Vestments of St. Peter's Basilica

Sadly, in a fit of modernization, much of the nice stuff was given away in recent years.

They kept a lot of the copes for vespers.

Of what remains, the maniples are missing.  

This pianeta, like so many others, is now part of a private collection. 

I imagine most of it was cleared out in the 1970s.

A cultural and artistic loss.
