Luciano Minguzzi, from Communist Bologna, labored for seven years to give us these doors, completed in 1977. These have been tough years for the Church. At least things can only get better. He died in 2004.
You seem to have confused two different doors, one by Minguzzi, commissioned by Paul VI, and another by Giacomo Manzù, commissioned by (or perhaps made in memory of?) John XXIII.
Are you suggesting his death was a good thing?
