I can understand the reasoning, but in the end doing this places more importance on the one who is distributing than on the One who is being distributed.
Used to do exactly that often with a panic stricken look on my face if i was trying to avoid a feminine extraordinary minister. Now in my early 60s I think I have grown up and remembered some of the 'penny catechism' the good nuns taught (often with frightening and painful consequences if you got your answers wrong!). I am receiving the Body of Christ - from whom does not matter.
