Due Verae Sunt Olivae

Glory of the Olive with Peter the Roman.

Isti sunt duae olivae.

Being pope today is being on the Mount of Olives.

Pope Francis, in his first public words as pope, spoke of the See of Rome and himself as bishop of Rome.

Pray for popes.  Living and deceased.

  1. Could you explain to us why you refer to him as Peter the Roman?

    Thank you.
