How are you feeling about Papa Francesco? Optimistic? Just ok? Terrified?
He certainly doesn't seem very sympathetic to Catholics of a more traditional orientation.
Are the cardinals trying to send a message here? Because it looks like they are. It's hard not to see this as a significant repudiation of the direction Benedict XVI took the church in.
