Miscarriages are on the rise.

Btw, I have heard from more than one Catholic couple that after their miscarriage they buried their deceased child in a public park, usually near their home.
FYI: Catholics do not bury their dead in a city park, but in blessed ground.
After a miscarriage you can discreetly bury your child in a Catholic cemetery, perhaps best on the side or edge.
The local Catholic cemetery ought to have a space set aside for the interring of miscarried children, without the ordinary costs associated with burials and funerals. That's only decent.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Canon Law, dead Catholics are to be buried in blessed ground:
ReplyDeleteCan. 1240 §1. Where possible, the Church is to have its own cemeteries or at least areas in civil cemeteries that are designated for the deceased members of the faithful and properly blessed.
§2. If this cannot be achieved, however, then individual graves are to be properly blessed.
