What is it with these glass altars? The least they could do is make it look appropriate to the church building, like marble or wood, or, dare I say, USE THE ORIGINAL ALTAR?!
Nothing wrong with the picture except the caption. It would make a great side-table for the acolyte. Complaining about the glass would be a bit picky, though wood would be a bit more dignified.
I just want to make this clear. I'm a Traddie, but not too radical. If they'd kept the Protestants out of Vatican II, maybe they could have had the option of English Mass( in the US), but NOT allowing any liturgical abuses and/or Protestant influence. But you can't blame Popes John and Paul entirely. There's my 2 cents.

ReplyDeleteThis is the end.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of the Vatican II Catholic Church. I'm not interested in being turned into a Protestant.
I'm going to a real Church...the Greek Orthodox!
Ciao!

ReplyDeleteIs there a word limit for this question?
ReplyDeleteOne word describes it........Garbage.
ReplyDeleteThat word, and everything from Vatican II, are synonomous.

ReplyDeleteIt must also be remembered that these altars and ambos are very rarely ever glass, but plexiglass or another type of transparent plastic.
