Scotch-Irish? I'm also half Irish from my father's side, but of the Ulster variety. (Last name is Watkins) Religious background of Dad's side is Presbyterian. I guess I'm ending that tradition, however!
As kids we called Ireland the holy land. Yours truly is half Irish. There is always hope. My Irish blood was all Protestant from the north.
