Due Santi Near Castel Gandolfo

On the Via Appia just outside Rome is this spot, Due Santi.  In former years this was a private estate, today it is owned by the University of Dallas and acts as their Rome campus for study abroad students.

Caesar and Pompey the Great once had villas nearby.  The name due santi (which means "two saints") is rooted in an old legend that the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul met here nearby for a water stop just outside the city.
