This complex is located across the street from the Franciscan church and monastery at Cana. Many pilgrims visit here as well to pray. The Greek Orthodox church, built in the 1880s, holds two
stone jars that Orthodox followers revere as the jars in which
Jesus performed the miracle of the wine. In any event, they may be early baptismal fonts. Streetside vendors sell Cana wine, but as the Italian pilgrims will warn you, it tastes more like vinegar.
