Looks like something we'd see on the old "The Flinstones" TV cartoon series (debut 1961, cancelled, 1967). I half expect Fred Flintstone to come into this picture, sit down at this table and bellow at his wife "Wilma, where's my dinner!!"
This is a disgrace in any Catholic Church, but especially in Rome. No wonder why so few in Rome go to Mass.
The neo-lithic Celts built far nicer dolmen. I've moved to the boondocks in MD, where the churches are old, so I don't have to see such monstrosities. Last week I was driving by the Shenandoah River near Charles Town, WV. Rounding a corner I saw a gorgeous, traditional church atop a hill. I said to myself "that HAS to be Catholic", but I was skeptical, as WV is hardly a Catholic stronghold. It was RC, though, a parish called St James. I will have to attend Mass there one day, just lovely!
I'd like to read the title of this post as a catholic dogma!

Yuck. Neolithic man could have done better than that thing!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like something out of the Flintstones. It would be comical if it were not the very altar of Calvary.
ReplyDeleteThat actually isn't as bad as some I have seen.
ReplyDeleteReally ugly. It's hard to believe that some folks thought it was worth creating and paying for.
