Yet again another wonderful photo. As an added note of interest, this wax figure was sculpted by Canadian Sculptor Joseph Guardo in 1952, and was one of three crafted for Saint Joseph Oratory in Montreal. Joseph Guardo was responsible for a number of Works of art for the Oratory including the church Pediment, Model of projected Basilica, Wood carvings of 14 Stations of the Cross, 10 scenes of the Life of St. Joseph, the Ex-Voto chapel Bas-Relief Panels and Marble statue of Saint Joseph, the Life-sized Nativity, and a Pieta no longer displayed. It was his passion and honour to contribute to such an important Religious Institution.
My great-grandfather Henri was a student at Collège Notre-Dame when Bro. André was there. My father tells me that Henri played chess with Bro. André!
