Homoerotic art is not in the footprint of Christian iconography and never has been and never will be.
This is one prominent place of international pilgrimage that I will not be returning to.
I thought Jesus was crucified naked...at least that was the practice of the time. So what's wrong with portraying reality?

Once again before the Pauline Mass this would probably have been unthinkable. The whole attitude that everything can now be done gripped the Church like a terrible plague. Very sad and unnecessary.

ReplyDeleteNudity is not a spectator sport. It is one thing to have a nude baby Jesus, quite another to have a nude adult Jesus. Homosexualist art is contrary to Catholic/Orthodox iconography.
