Catholic Culture: What An Incorrupt Body Looks Like

St. Rose of Viterbo, just north of Rome at Viterbo.

  1. Now THAT is a true incorruptible: darkened and dried by age, but still whole, and so obviously not artificial.

This is much more edifying than the "incorrupt" bodies that are actually nothing more than bones encased in wax or metal "bodies". It is amazing how so many Catholic websites and videos tout as "incorruptibles" even those that are obviously made of wax. Unfortunately, studies such as those of Joan Carroll Cruz are often neglected, and have not been updated with more recent discoveries.
