He who will not climb the mountain of Christian architecture can indeed fall into the abyss of postmodern art which is not a part of our footprint.
The devil does not like symmetry, which is order (harmonious/aesthetically pleasing proportionality/balance).

ReplyDeleteall parts of the church, from the door to the layout of the floor are a visual catechesis; the use of space to express abstract theological ideas. it orders our eyes to reflect on the truths that Mother Church teaches. as to what this "altar" teaches, i'm not exactly sure.
