Sword

  1. My dear Sonnen:

This is not from the knights of Columbus but is a sword from the masonic "Knights Templar".

People are always getting the swords confused.

    God Bless.

    Love the site.

  2. Someone is wearing an unauthorized sword with his 4th degree attire. That sword was actually made for one of two mason-like lodge organizations: either the Knights of Pythias or the Knights Templar (a hokey misappropriation of the dissolved order's name); I simply forget which now. The very oldest K of C swords had an eagle atop the pommel. For many decades they have all featured a bust of Columbus himself, however.

None of which should suggest that the Knights are not a fantastic organization, which they are.
